Transformative Learning

IN THE WORKPLACE

Judi offers consultation sessions for senior managers, organisational development teams, continuous improvement managers, practice managers, academics and workplace trainers who aim to facilitate transformative learning.

The focus on transformative learning often arises when people are leading a significant change process that requires deep understanding and commitment from staff.

A program of inputs is designed with you. You might include consultation sessions to assist you at any point from planning, to implementation, to evaluation of your initiative. You could also include modules from the Facilitating Transformative Learning course that has been developed from Judi’s doctoral thesis, which outlines her model and specific strategies.

There could also be training, workshops, conference presentations, and coaching sessions made available for staff to support implementation.

 

Consultation and professional development options available

FOR PARENTING EDUCATION, HEALTH EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Judi offers consultation sessions, workshops, conference presentations, coaching sessions and professional supervision for parenting educators, health educators and community educators.

There is a 6-session course that has been developed from Judi’s doctoral thesis – it starts with using Judi’s model to explore the transformative learning aspects of your program, and then takes you through specific strategies to facilitate transformative learning at the different stages. It concludes by looking at various aspects of the role of the facilitator.

This program can be customised to consider the specifics of your area of practice and your local context.

COMMUNITY MANAGERS:
CUSTOMISED LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 

We offer an individually customised, integrated leadership development program for managers and professional leaders in health and community services.

This program is provided in conjunction with Grace Leotta of Affirm.

The centrepiece of the program is a series of leadership coaching sessions. These sessions are supported by relevant learning modules.

Our approach is to invite leaders and managers to explore new ideas that are emerging in their area of work, to develop effective solutions for current challenges, and to strengthen the foundations – “to do the best of our practice more often”.

LEADERSHIP COACHING FOR WOMEN IN MANAGEMENT

In conjunction with Grace Leotta of Affirm we offer a leadership coaching program for women in management. We invite you to reflect on challenges in the role, look at various ways of analyzing issues, develop strategies, and explore ways to lead change.

The coaching program is flexibly structured to provide professional leadership development around a key theme, project or challenge.

Our work as social workers in health and community services particularly attunes us to the social-relational aspects of the management role, and the psychological aspects for women as they increase their influence and responsibility. We have a particular interest around women in management in tech, media and communications due to some of our previous work.
